Ghanaian lower-tier side, Okwawu United have issued a statement after the club’s exit from the MTN FA Cup.
The Kwahu-based club over the weekend played against Kotoku Royals in the first round of the new MTN FA Cup season.
In a letter, the management of Okwawu United said it is disappointed by the early exit.
The club wants supporters and stakeholders to remain calm as efforts are underway to get the club back to its glory days.
“Management of Okwawu United would want to express our displeasure of the shocking early exit from the MTN FA CUP after a narrow defeat to Kotoku Royals.
“Management, Technical Team and Playing Body are with a solemn heart apologising to our die-hard supporters, partners and enthusiasts for the early exit from the MTN FA Cup as well as our recent undesireable results in the DOL,” parts of the statement from the club said.
It added, “We are finding solutions to make Okwawu United a winning team again.
“We entreat all our supporters and stakeholders to remain calm as Management, Technical Team, and Playing Body are working assiduously to make Asaase Aban great again.”
