The Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV is proud of the Hearts’ contingent that helped Ghana secure qualification to the 2023 edition of the CHAN tournament.
The Black Galaxies edged out their Nigerian counterparts via penalty shout outs after the Super Eagles managed to equal Ghana’s 2-0 win in Cape Coast last weekend.
The win gives Ghana a slot in next year’s CHAN, a feat that has eluded the nation since 2014.
“Having 6 players in the Black galaxies team should send positive signals to the world that currently we have the best players in the Ghana Premier League. It also speaks volumes about the hardwork our technical team is putting in to get the best out of the players.
It tells all of us that they are doing a good job” Togbe Afede told the squad during a visit to their pre-season training camp base in the AshantiGold Region.
The Board led by the Executive Chairman met the players ahead of the Northern sector supporter’s rally and the friendly match against Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday.
“Hard work doesn’t kill, it only makes you achieve the best of what you want for yourself. I believe that we should let hard work be part of us ” the Board Chairman stressed.
He advised the playing body to attach discipline, teamwork to what they do, stating that they can only get their desired results when they play together as a team.
“There are several examples that we can look up to, to get to our goals. All we want is the best for you because we believe that you can achieve the best. Usually, you should always surround yourself with the best people to help you succeed that is why we have made it a point to always guide you so you can become very successful”.
