WAFU Zone B U20 Girls Cup: Black Princesses wrap up preparations for final against Nigeria tomorrow

The Ghana U20 Girls national team on Friday wrapped up preparations for the finals of the 2023 WAFU Zone B U20 Girls Cup of Nations tournament.

The maiden edition of the tournament kicked off in Ghana on May 20 in Kumasi at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

On Wednesday, the semi-finals of the tournament were cleared as four teams battled for a place in the final.

In the first semi-final match, Ghana beat Burkina Faso 3-1 to progress to the final before later in the day, Nigeria joined after defeating Benin 3-0 in the second semi-final contest.

Since then, the two finalists have been preparing in hopes of emerging as the Champions.

This evening, the Ghana U20 Girls team led by head coach Yussif Basigi finalised preparations when the team held a last training session.

The Black Princesses are poised and ready to take on their Nigerian counterpart tomorrow.

The finals of the WAFU Zone B U20 Girls Cup between Ghana and Nigeria will kick off at 18:30gmt at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
