WAFU B Girls Cup of Nations – Nigeria, others arrive Thursday

Nigeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo and Benin will arrive in Ghana on Thursday, May 18, 2023 for the WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup of Nations in Kumasi.

The tournament which kicks off on Saturday, May 20, will bring together seven countries within the sub-region to compete for honors in the maiden edition.

The Black Princesses wrapped up their preparations with a friendly against Niger on Wednesday ahead of their trip to Kumasi for the competition.

Coach Yussif Basigi’s girls beat Niger 11-0 at the Accra Sports stadium Wednesday in readiness for the competition.

Ghana are paired with Benin and Cote D’Ivoire in Group A while Nigeria face Niger, Burkina Faso and Togo in Group B.
