Ghana forward Kwabena Owusu scored for Qarabag FK in their 3-0 win over Turan Tovuz in the Azerbaijan Premier League on Thursday.
The 25-year-old put up an impressive display as he helped his side cruise to a comfortable victory on match week 10.
Just two minutes into the first half, Owusu was presented with a good chance and made it count. The forward fired his effort past the goalkeeper of Turan and found the back of the net to give his team the lead.
Building on that lead, Qarabag continued to play very well and scored two additional goals through strikes from Ramil Sheydayev and Filip Ozobic.
At the end of the 90 minutes, Qarabag have picked all three points thanks to a 3-0 victory.
Owusu has now scored six goals in 20 appearances for Qarabag FK in across all competitions this season so far.
Owusu, who represented Ghana at the U-23 and the Black Stars at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, is expected to be included in coach Otto Addo’s provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Friday.
