Video: Watch Jeremie Frimpong’s goal against FC Heidenheim

Dutch-born Ghanaian Jeremie Frimpong delivered an outstanding performance to help Bayer Leverkusen secure victory over FC Heidenheim on Saturday afternoon.

The Dutch international started the encounter as a right wing-back in his outfit’s 2-1 win over Bayern Munich in the week 22 clash of the German Bundesliga.

Leverkusen opened the scoring through Jeremie Frimpong, who scored in the 45 +2 minute minute. The former Celtic defender scored with a left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner.

Moroccan international striker Amine Adli added the second goal for Bayer Leverkusen in the 81st minute. Adli scored with a left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. Florian Wirtz assisted Adli’s goal with a through ball.

The home side pulled one back through Tim Kleindienst in the 86th minute. Nikola Dovedan assisted Kleindienst’s goal with a headed pass following a set piece situation.

Jeremie Frimpong has made 21 appearances, scored seven goals, and assisted six in the Bundesliga this season.
