Nations FC scored two goals in their match week fourteen victory against Aduana Stars on Saturday afternoon at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese.
Before the encounter 4th place Nations FC had won four and lost one in five games. 1st place Aduana Stars had won three and lost two in five games.
The game was played at a slow pace in the early stages.
Nations took the lead at halftime thanks to a goal from Barimah Baah, and two minutes into the second half, Nafiu Sulemana added another.
Nations stayed unwavering and appeared certain to secure a clean-sheet victory in spite of Aduana’s best attempts. Aduana did, however, manage to score a late consolation goal during additional time. Substitute Justus Torsutsey scored for Aduana Stars.
Nations FC will play Hearts of Oak at home in their next game and Aduana Stars will clash with Bechem United at home.
