VIDEO: Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom not giving up on Black Stars return –

New Hearts of Oak recruit, Samuel Inkoom has revealed that he is opened for a Black Stars return. 

The former Ghana U20 star joined Hearts of Oak in March after returning home after almost a decade abroad playing for FC Basel, Dnipro, Boavista and DC United.

Inkoom scored on Sunday as Hearts of Oak were held to a 1-1 draw by Elmina Sharks in the Ghana Premier League.

The 32-year-old, who last played for the Black Stars in 2015 says he will avail himself if the national team needs him.

“Of course, I am open to the Black Stars. I keep on saying I will never turn my back on my country. The country that has given me a huge platform in my life, I will never turn my back when they call me,” He told Untold Stories TV Gh.

The defender, who signed as a free agent nine days ago, curled a superb free-kick into the net to give Hearts a 1-0 lead.

The first-minute goal stunned the visitors and gave Hearts the impetus to dominate the game and create chances.

But they failed to convert, and the Sharks punished them in the 28th minute when Michael Asamoah put the ball in the net.
