Ghanaian forward Ernest Asante has been named Omonia Nicosia’s player of the month for April.
The 33-year-old has been in fine form since recovering from injury, and has been the key figure in their battle for survival.
Asante has netted two goals in the the relegation play-offs in the Cypriot league as Omonia Nocosia maintained a firm grip of top spot.
The former FC Nordsjaelland player has made five appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assist.
“This is Wellman player of the month. I like to forget the past and look to the future. There is a lot to achieve ahead of me,” he said.
