Ghana left-back David Addy was shown a straight red card just after the half hour when he crazily headbutted an opponent in front of the referee.
There was no excuse for Addy’s assault, and he made matters worse for himself when he tried to attack his victim after he was given his marching orders.
His side Waasland-Beveren were beaten 2-0 at the KV Mechelen in the Belgian Jupiler League on Saturday.
