Veteran Sports journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah has shockingly claimed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is working against Asante Kotoko’s progress.
This follows referee Joseph Kenny Padi’s suspension for awarding Kotoko a penalty in their Ghana Premier League victory over Hearts of Oak.
The GFA Match Review Panel ruled that the referee erred and has given him a season-long suspension.
However, there are differing viewpoints on the decision. While some believe it was the right decision, others believe it was made to make Kotoko unpopular.
Yeboah, a former spokesperson of the GFA Normalisation Committee, agrees with the unpopular calls, saying the current leadership of the GFA do not want Kotoko to succeed because of Nana Yaw Amponsah.
Amponsah contested the 2019 GFA Presidential elections which Kurt Okraku emerged victorious.

Kotoko have an eight-point lead at the summit of the table with 10 games to end the season.
