VIDEO: Coach Philip Boakye sure of success at 2024 Futsal AFCON

Head coach of the Futsal National Team – Philip Boakye – is optimistic his side will make history at the Futsal African Cup of Nations Tournament set to kick-off in Morocco on 11th April 2024.

Ghana will battle Zambia in the opening fixture on Thursday, take on host nation Morocco in the second group game before wrapping up with Angola in Group A.

The team, on Saturday, beat Raja Casablanca in a pre-tournament friendly by 5-4 and have currently pitched camp in Rabat where the tournament will be played.

Speaking ahead of his side’s opening game at the tournament, Coach Philip Boakye believes his boys are battle ready and will make Ghana proud at the tournament.

“We have enjoyed good preparations and support from the FA, especially the president. We are very confident that we will win this tournament and also qualify for the World Cup,” he said.
