Kumasi Asante Kotoko began their pre-season campaign with a comfortable win against Panthers FC at Accra’s Legon Park on Monday morning.
Abdulai Gazeli, the team’s interim coach, started Cameroonian goalkeeper Pouately, left defender Thomas Pele, and Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala.
Starting spots were given to Stephen Amankona, Ernest Osei Poku, Andul Ganiyu, Richard Boadu, Christopher Nettey, Richard Lamptey, and Isaac Oppong.
Panthers FC scored twice early in the game but was unable to keep their posture as the Ghana Premier League champions battled from behind to win. Stephen Amankona, Ernest Osei Poku, Steven Mukwala, and Afoakwa scored for the Porcupine Warriors.
