It’s one of the biggest games of the season for Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt as the two sides meet at the Volkswagen Arena right next to each other in the table and after a recent tumble in form in the Bundesliga.

This game is Wolfsburg’s best chance yet to get back into the European spots, as Frankfurt have dropped in form and come into this one well out of the title race that they were well within just a few weeks ago.

Wolfsburg trail sixth-placed Frankfurt by five points in the table after 22 games played and they can now bring themselves to within five of the Europa Conference League spots.

On the other hand, the Wolves have managed to win only nine games this season and lose seven, but they do come into this one with a fantastic goals difference record.

The club have let in just 29 goals, and only those in the top four have let in fewer, while Wolfsburg have also scored five more goals (40) than Union Berlin in third.

A win here is a must for Niko Kovač’s side if he is to witness his side get back into the European spots. Last time out, his men got a fantastic three points on the road against Koln, as Yannick Gerhardt scored after just four minutes, before Max Arnold netted in the second half from the penalty spot.

Prior to this, the seventh-placed side lost to RB Leipzig 3-0, drew 0-0 with Schalke and also lost 4-2 to Bayern Munich to put them on just one win in February.

As for Frankfurt, they head into this game with a 2-1 loss to RB Leipzig and a defeat to Napoli in the Champions League. It means the club’s last win came against Werder Bremen in a 2-0 win that saw an own goal and a late goal from Randal Kolo Muani.

Oliver Glasner’s side now come into this one with 11 wins on the board and just six defeats, but they are now behind Bayern Munich at the top of table by eight points. Glasner’s side have also put themselves four points behind RB Leipzig in fourth, although a win here would push them right back into Champions League contention.

The form of either side makes it a tough game to call. Not much separates them on goals difference, despite the points tally and Forebet now predicts a draw and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
