VfB Stuttgart is making moves in shaping its future, with plans to sign German-born Ghanaian offensive player Jamie Leweling on a permanent basis next summer.
According to a report by Bild, the Swabian club will exercise a purchase option to bring the 23-year-old talent from 1. FC Union Berlin.
Leweling, who is currently on loan from Union Berlin, has impressed Stuttgart’s management with his contributions to the team’s success in the ongoing Bundesliga season. He has appeared in all league games so far, starting in ten of them, and has scored two goals while providing four assists.
The fixed transfer fee for Leweling is reportedly around five million euros, a relatively manageable amount in today’s football market.
This sum would secure Leweling’s release from his contract with Union Berlin, which is set to run until 2026. Final discussions regarding the transfer are expected to take place at the end of the season.
