Unnamed Qatari side table €12 m for Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris

Trabzonspor striker Abdul Majeed Waris is a 12 million euro transfer target for an unnamed Qatari side, according president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu.

Waris has scored once and assisted once since moving to Turkey from Russian giants Spartak Moscow last summer.

His lack of goals has not deterred clubs including English giants Manchester United to scout on him.

Last month, United’s assistant coach Ryan Giggs was in Turkey to watch 2012 Swedish Premier League goal king.

“We have received offers for our foreign players. A €12 million offer has been made for Waris,” Haciosmanoglu said.

“The bid has come from Qatar, but we will not sell him for anything under €20 million. We know Manchester United are monitoring him too,” he added
