Mohammed Kudus featured for Ajax in their 4-2 defeat against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian international failed to score for the first time in this season’s competition at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Napoli raced into a two-goal lead as Hirving Lozano and Giacomo Raspadori registered their names on the scoresheet in the first half.
Davy Klaasen’s header reduced Ajax’s deficit after the break, before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s scored from the spot to extend Napoli’s lead back to two goals.
Ajax were awarded a penalty which was converted by Steven Bergwijn to make it 3-2 late in the game, however, Victor Osimhen capitalized on a Daley Blind mistake and tapped into the empty net to seal the win for the hosts.
Kudus was replaced by Brobbey in the 65th minute.
