Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has charged the Black Meteors to beat Algeria and secure a spot at the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Meteors will engage their North African counterpart in the second leg of their AFCON qualifier at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The continental tournament to be staged in Morocco, will serve as a channel to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.
The first leg in Algeria ended 1-1 which gives the Black Meteors an advantage as a goalless draw will be enough to take them through on the away goal rule.
“2004 has been a long journey since Ghana was at the Olympics and fortunately the next Olympics is in my next country Paris.,” Kurt told the playing-body.
“It is important we keep our forces and work towards a slot for the African continent and our dear country.”
The game comes off today at 4pm.
