Former Black Satellites captain Clifford Aboagye is set for a possible return to the domestic top-flight.
The former Ghana youth star is without a club after ending his spell with Mexican club Querétaro. He has been unattached since November 1, 2023 and is currently in hunt for a new club ahead of the next transfer window.
According to sources, the former Udinese and Granada star has been contacted by two Ghanaian clubs over a possible move and is currently weighing up his options.
The 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup bronze ball winner in an interview with Linus Siaw Nartey on YouTube monitored by Footballghana.com reiterated his desire to return to Ghana in the future.
“Of course, if I get the opportunity too, I will always love to come and play in Ghana, probably, it’s not time now for me to play but who knows what will happen in the future. I’m always open to play football, I love enjoying football. I think if the time comes, I will come back and play in Ghana” he said.
Since departing Ghana for greener pastures, the midfielder has had spells in Italy, Spain and in Mexico, featuring for Udinese, Granada, Atlas, Querétaro, Tijuana, and Puebla.
