Two football players have lost their lives in a ghastly car accident on Monday in Oti Region.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Agblar Peter from Likpe Heroes FC and Alorwu Paul from Yadzo Oti Warriors, both affiliated with the Volta Regional Football Association’s (VRFA) Division Two clubs.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Christmas Day when they were reportedly knocked down by a vehicle on a motorbike at the Kotonkwanta and Yadzo Junction in the Kadjebi District.
The football community mourns the loss of these two promising players, and investigations are likely to start regarding the circumstances surrounding the terrible accident.
