Two ‘Catch Them Young’ referees complete training ahead of WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup

Two Catch Them Young Referees from Ghana and eight others from across the sub-region have completed a preparatory training session ahead of the WAFU Zone B U17 Girls Cup championship.

The young referees, drawn from across the Member Associations, were trained at the FIFA Pitch in Prampram on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Sophia Azumah and Salma Iddi are the two young referees from Ghana’s Catch Them Young Referees policy appointed to officiate in the tournament.

The Training Instructors included Augustina Fugah and Emmanuella Aglago from Ghana, Ahoua Aya Irene from Cote D’Ivoire and Okwugba Felicia Chibuogu from Nigeria as the fitness Instructor.

The Young Referees will officiate the WAFU Zone B U17 Girls Cup which is scheduled from Thursday, December 12 – Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram.
