Hatayspor and former Black Stars winger, Christian Atsu has been rescued after being buried under the rubble for several hours following the devastating earthquake in Turkey.
Since Monday’s natural disaster, which has so far claimed the lives of more than 4,300, Atsu and the club’s sporting director, Taner Savut, have spent more than 24 hours trapped under wreckage.
Both are now alive, safe and sent to the hospital to expedite their recovery process.
The Ghana Football Association has already reached out to Ghanaian players in the country to find out about their safety.
Ghanaian player, Isaac Coffie, who was also affected is in good state, kickoffghana.com has been told.
