When Chelsea takes on Liverpool in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon, Thomas Tuchel will equal Jose Mourinho’s record.
While both the Premier League and the Champions League are on the line for Liverpool, the game at Wembley Stadium will determine if Chelsea can call their season a success.
Tuchel, though, will be equaling a record set by the club’s most successful manager when he takes the field in North London, regardless of the final score.
Tuchel will have just been in command of Chelsea for one year and 108 days on Saturday, and this will be his fourth domestic or European final with the club.
Only Jose Mourinho has managed more finals than Chelsea’s manager, with the Portuguese managing one FA Cup final and three League Cup finals.
Although Tuchel is just one of three managers in this group to win games, Mourinho won three titles between 2005 and 2007, with the last one coming in 2015.
