Marseille are in search of a fourth win in a row and looking to continue on with their magical run of form that has seen them score 10 goals in three games since the World Cup and before their trip to the Stade de l’Aube where Troyes are looking to bounce back from a French Cup loss.

It’s been a topsy-turvy season for Troyes since day one, and their recent loss in the cup sums up their form and overall campaign so far in 2022/23. In the loss to Lille, they managed to have just three shots on target and see an alarming 29% of the ball in a fairly easy win for the other team

On the other hand, the club managed to beat Strasbourg 3-2 just before that, in what is looking like being their biggest win of the season as it has now rocketed them further away from the drop zone and put them in a healthy spot in Ligue 1.

Renaud Ripart, Rony Lopes and Xavier Chavalerin all scored a goal each against Strasbourg and this has now put Troyes five points above the bottom four.

The club also drew 0-0 with Nantes in their comeback game after the World Cup, which does now mean they are also adrift of the top half of Ligue 1 by just two points and lost just one game in the past three. On the other hand, they’ve still managed to let in five goals

As for Marseille, no side in Ligue 1 has been in better form than them since competitive action returned in France after the World Cup.

The club have so far netted 10 goals and let in just two in the three games since late December, as they battered Toulouse at the Orange Velodrome in their first game back where five different players scored a goal.

A 2-1 win over Montpellier came shortly after to push Igor Tudor’s men back up into third in the table.

Marseille also defeated Hyeres in the French Cup round of 64 last weekend, although Eric Bailly was sent off and now faces a suspension. Alexis Sanchez got amongst the goals from the penalty spot too in that game, as Bamba Dieng scored as well.

It should be a fairly routine win for such an in-form side like Marseille. Forebet predicts them to win here and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
