Pundit and former Watford Captain Troy Deeney has backed in-form Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo for a big move to Chelsea, describing the Ghanaian as a perfect fit for the Blues’ attack.
Semenyo has been electric in the Premier League this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in just seven games form that has sparked fresh talk of a transfer to a top club.
Speaking on talkSPORT , Deeney said:
“I like him at Chelsea. I’d play him off the right and put Estevao on the left because that’s an area you’re not really sure about.”
The former striker praised the potential partnership between the 25-year-old Ghanaian and Chelsea’s 18-year-old Brazilian prodigy, Estevao, calling it a blend of “raw pace and creative flair.”
Semenyo signed a new five-year deal with Bournemouth this summer, with Sky Sports valuing him at around £70 million and reporting that the contract includes a release clause.
