Tottenham Hotspur are making a bold move for Ghana star Mohammed Kudus as they aim to snap him up from London rivals West Ham United which will be their first direct transfer dealings with the Hammers in 14 years.
The 23-year-old Black Stars forward is firmly on Spurs’ radar, with new manager Thomas Frank identifying him as a key summer target, per English media The Telegraph.
Kudus has an £85 million release clause for Premier League clubs, valid only for the first ten days of July, though Spurs are hopeful of negotiating a lower fee.
Chelsea are also reportedly monitoring Kudus, but with big-money deals already in place for Dortmund’s Jamie Gittins and Brighton’s Joao Pedro, Tottenham may have a clearer path.
Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax for around £40 million and impressed in his debut season, scoring 14 goals across all competitions.
Despite a tough campaign for the Hammers overall, Kudus stood out with five goals and four assists in 35 appearances.
If successful, this would be Spurs’ first signing from West Ham since Scott Parker’s switch in 2011 — adding an extra layer of intrigue to the potential deal.
