Tottenham Hotspur have made a £50 million bid for Ghana star Mohammed Kudus as they look to strengthen their attack this summer, according to The Guardian.
Kudus, under contract at West Ham until 2028, has been linked with a move away following an impressive season. The Hammers, however, are reportedly only open to letting him go if his £85 million release clause is met.
Despite the gap in valuation, Spurs are testing the waters ; a bold move considering the two London rivals haven’t done business in 14 years.
The last notable dealings were Scott Parker and David Bentley back in 2011, with relations further strained when Spurs blocked Emmanuel Adebayor’s move to West Ham in 2015.
Kudus has become one of Europe’s most sought-after players, drawing interest from Chelsea, Newcastle, and Atletico Madrid. Since joining West Ham in 2023, the 24-year-old has racked up 19 goals and 13 assists in 80 appearances.
