Antonio Conte stopped in front of the media on two major subjects. Tottenham’s Italian coach spoke about his extension and the winter transfer window.
“I will talk to the club”
What about Antonio Conte’s future? At the end of the contract next June, the Italian coach has still not returned to the Tottenham bench. It is therefore no surprise that journalists have questioned the former coach of the Nazionale about his situation with the club of the London capital, where he has officiated since November 2021. Will the 53-year-old technician take advantage of the 2022 World Cup to meet with its leaders and settle its fate for good? Without predicting the outcome of the discussions, the Transalpin confirms future negotiations. “It’s important to deserve every situation. It’s important for me professionally, I have to feel that I deserve a new contract to sign one with a club. I have to feel that. I will talk to the club and we will find the best solution.

“We will see what we can do”
Antonio Conte also spoke about the next winter transfer window. After putting pressure on his management, the Spurs manager was much less cash on recruitment, while acknowledging that talks will be held on this point with his superiors in order to consider a possible offensive in January 2023. “Honestly, until now we weren’t talking. But, of course, after the first part of the season, it’s only right to have a meeting with the club to discuss the positives and negatives and ways to improve. Then we will see what we can do (…) We have to talk to the club and make the best decision.
