The summer transfer window in Europe officially closed last night with a lot of clubs sealing deadline day deals.
For most parts of the off-season, various clubs have signed a number of players to augment their squads.
During that period in the busy market, Ghanaian players were not left out. A number of them secured moves from one club to the other.
The first to move was Daniel-Kofi Kyereh. The talented attacking midfielder signed for German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg from German Bundesliga 2 outfit FC St. Pauli.
Subsequently, a number of other players also moved. For players who have become regulars in the Black Stars in the last six months, this is the top 10 who have moved this summer.
Of course, Emmanuel Boateng will be the exception.
- Daniel-Kofi Kyereh to Freiburg
- Osman Bukari to Red Star Belgrade
- Gideon Mensah to Auxerre
- Felix Afena-Gyan to Cremonese
- Benjamin Tetteh to Hull City
- Joseph Wollacott to Charlton Athletic
- Baba Rahman to Reading FC
- Emmanuel Boateng – Rio Ave
- Abdul Mumin to Rayo Vallecano
- Edmund Addo to Red Star Belgrade
These and many other players plying their trade abroad are hoping to do well from now to November to stand any chance of making the final Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
