Zapping World Eleven EXCLUDED: Kalidou Koulibaly’s “Little Brother” interview!
This season, without being exceptional, Toni Kroos has met expectations and managed to perform when necessary. Under Carlo Ancelotti, the German midfielder is flourishing, but he knows that in the short term he will have to give up his place. This season, he knew how to do it perfectly, in order to guide the youngest to take over.
It is therefore not surprising to see him refused an extension, as announced by the Carrusel Deportivo this afternoon. Toni Kroos wants to wait for how his sporting situation evolves next season to make a decision. At 32, his profile, unlike that of Luka Modric, is not likely to offer him performance guarantees until he is 35 or 36 years old. As a result, the former German international with 106 caps will at best extend for an additional season, i.e. until June 2024. He will then be 34 years old. Within Real Madrid, his decision seems to have been welcomed and respected.

? Toni Kroos no renueva con el @real Madrid
? Prefiere esperar al año próximo para decidir si renueva y no quiere ser una carga para el club
