Ghana will be proudly represented at this year’s expanded FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, with three of its players; Edmund Baidoo, Yaw Yeboah, and Samuel Obeng Gyabaa set to feature for their respective clubs in the historic 32-team tournament.
Teen sensation Edmund Baidoo will turn out for Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg, who find themselves in a tough Group H alongside Real Madrid, Pachuca, and Al Hilal. The 19-year-old winger, known for his pace and flair, has already made his mark with a goal in the Austrian Bundesliga this season.

Yaw Yeboah, the experienced former Ghana youth international, lines up for LAFC in Group F, where the American side will clash with European giants Chelsea, Brazil’s Flamengo, and Tunisia’s Esperance. Yeboah, 28, brings versatility and calm in midfield, and is expected to play a key role in LAFC’s ambitions.

Meanwhile, striker Samuel Obeng Gyabaa faces a stern challenge with Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in Group A; the so-called ‘group of death’ featuring Manchester City, Juventus, and Al Ain. The 28-year-old forward joined Wydad earlier this year and is looking to make an impact on the biggest club stage of his career.

The tournament kicks off on June 14 and runs until July 13 across 11 cities in the U.S., offering these players not just a platform to shine but also a chance to inspire a new generation of Ghanaian footballers.
