Liverpool v Atalanta
Europa League match at Anfield, Liverpool
TV: TNT Sports, Thursday, 8pm
The draw with Man United felt like a demoralising result. Normally, when you score late on in a game of such magnitude you’re on a high but it didn’t feel that way because of what had gone on throughout the 90 minutes at Old Trafford.
Playing against what I think is one of the worst Man United sides I’ve seen, I’ve never known Liverpool to have such command of a game against them and not come out as winners. That’s why every Liverpool player and fan felt really disappointed, it was a really frustrating afternoon.
So, we’ve got to get back on the horse and I think Liverpool will do that on Thursday night. I think they’ll be a little angry in regards to the goal-scoring department and they’ll be more clinical on the night.
I fancy Liverpool to win 3-0 here, so I’m backing Liverpool -2 and Both Teams to Score, No.
Liverpool need to take something to Italy because any European games played in Italy is difficult. The atmosphere at those games can be incredible so the Reds do need to travel there with a few goals in hand. I’m backing both Mohamed Salah to Score and Alexis Mac Allister, who has been absolutely terrific of late, to Score, and Luis Diaz to have 1 or more Shots on Target.
