Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is poised to make a return to action as the team faces Sheffield United. The talented midfielder has been sidelined since October 2023 due to an injury sustained during international duty with the Black Stars.
Despite being cleared for a return multiple times, recurring issues have kept Thomas Partey out of action for the past four months, causing him to miss over 20 matches. However, recent progress in his recovery has seen him actively participating in daily training sessions with the Arsenal squad.
In a training session on Wednesday, February 28, Partey displayed sharpness and impressive movement, catching the attention of teammates and the technical staff. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has now confirmed that the Black Stars midfielder will be included in the squad for the upcoming game against Sheffield United on Monday, March 4.
“Thomas had a session before the last game, and now he’s done two consecutive sessions, so he should be part of the squad on Monday,” stated Mikel Arteta, signaling the much-anticipated return of Thomas Partey to competitive football.
