Manager of Arsenal Mikel Arteta has reflected on the return of Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey after months on the sidelines.
After four-month layoff, Partey returned and played a part in Arsenal’s 6-0 win against Sheffield United in the English Premier League on Monday.
The 30 year old midfielder have been off from the field due to an injury he sustained in October 2023.
“Thomas is available now to play a certain number of minutes. He needs to build that, because it was his first minutes after four months which is a long time. And then, like everybody, you need to have it right to earn the minutes.”
Partey has been an influential figure in the Gunners squad since joining them from Atletico Madrid in 2020.
He is in line to feature in the next game against Brentford on Saturday, March 9.
