Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has left Arsenal after his contract expired on June 30, 2025, marking the end of his four-year tenure with the club.
Partey joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020 for £42.7 million and made 167 appearances, scoring nine goals.
Despite struggling with injuries, he played a vital role in midfield and contributed to Arsenal’s push for top-four finishes.
Partey’s departure was expected after contract renewal talks stalled due to disagreements over salary.
He becomes a free agent, and several clubs, including Fenerbahce, Barcelona, AC Milan, and Juventus, are reportedly interested in signing him.
To take Partey’s stead, Arsenal are set to sign Danish international Christian Nørgaard from Brentford.
Nørgaard is known for his strength, leadership, and ball-winning abilities, which are expected to bring energy and experience to Mikel Arteta’s side.
