Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has hailed Mohammed Kudus after the Ghanaian midfielder scored his first goal for the club in their 2–1 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road.

Kudus, who joined Spurs from West Ham United in a £55 million move during the summer, produced a lively performance as he set up Mathys Tel for the opener before netting the winner in the second half.

The 24-year-old fired low into the bottom corner to restore Spurs’ lead after Noah Okafor had pulled Leeds level, ending the hosts’ unbeaten home record this season.

An impressed Thomas Frank was quick to commend Kudus’ impact and work ethic.

“It was about time, wasn’t it? We’ve got big expectations,” Frank said after the game.

“I’m so happy for Mo, he needed that goal. He’s been our best offensive player so far. You just see, he looked a little bit more fluid.”

The goal capped an all-round performance that underlined Kudus’ growing influence in the Tottenham squad.

His assist for Tel and his composed finish take his tally of goal involvements to four this season.

Kudus now shifts focus to international duty, where he is expected to play a key role for Ghana in their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
