Mohammed Kudus has expressed delight after netting his first UEFA Champions League goal in Ajax’s big win against Rangers on Wednesday night.
The Black Stars ace scored a stunning goal on his first start of the season as a false nine as Ajax thumped Rangers 4-0 at the Johan Cryuff Arena.
Ajax was named Man of the Match after an outstanding display, which saw him produce an assist.
“This is team play, that’s the most important thing. The whole team has done well, then the individual comes into its own, although I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished. I kept working hard. This is just the beginning and I have to keep working hard,” Kudus told RTL7.
“I play where the coach needs me. I’m not an attacker, but I do my best everywhere. Yes, I like the position because I score, haha. If I have to play a few games here, I’ll gladly do it.
“I spoke to the trainer. There was little else going on. We continued and now I am here. I am doing my best for the club.”
