Ghana star, Mohammed Kudus has stressed that the goal of the Black Stars to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament has not changed.

According to him, the team is focused on that ambition but wants to fight to qualify for the tournament’s knockout stage first.

“The ultimate goal for all of us is to lift the trophy but the sub goal is to get out of the group so the focus is on one game at a time. Like I said the ultimate goal is to win the trophy that is the aim we came here with but we can’t look far ahead of us so we just need to take it one game at a time,” Mohammed Kudus said.

The 23-year-old talented youngster missed Ghana’s opening Group B game against Cape Verde.

On his return to the starting eleven, he scored a brace for the Black Stars in a 2-2 draw against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

A lot will be expected of the West Ham United star when Ghana tackles Mozambique in the final Group B game.
