GFA President Kurt Okraku has delivered a passionate message to the Black Stars, urging them to seize the opportunity of representing Ghana ahead of their crucial doubleheader against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Okraku’s fiery comments follow the team’s disappointing performances in their opening two games, a 1-0 defeat to Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and a 1-1 draw with Niger in Morocco.
Addressing the players, Okraku stressed the importance of respecting the legacy of the Black Stars and playing with pride for the nation.
“When Kudus you were not born this team existed. When Alex you were not born, this team called the Black Stars exited. So it is important for us to remember we belong to the privileged groups,’ he said.
Ghana will host Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, before traveling to Libya for the reverse fixture on October 15.
