The reason why Man City are considering selling Jack Grealish

Manchester City are looking to sell Jack Grealish, the player they signed in a £100m record-breaking move.

The Premier League champions feel that his lack of progress is a serious concern for the team and they could look to cash in on the former Aston Villa man.

Grealish completed a £100 million move from Aston Villa to Man City in 2021, making him the most expensive British football player at the time.

Man City are considering selling Grealish

Fans are yet to see Grealish perform at his peak at the Etihad Stadium since his big money move.

The England international has often been criticised for his impact in the Man City team. The wide-player has lost his place in the team this season, sparking fears of a move away from the club.

Grealish’s future is uncertain at Man City

According to HITC, Man City are considering a sale because of worries that Grealish won’t develop into the player they anticipated.

Grealish’s long-term status at City is described as “far from assured,” and his immediate future with the team is in doubt.

In 114 games for City, Grealish, 28, has only managed meager totals of 14 goals and 17 assists.

While Grealish did make significant contributions to the treble-winning campaign last year, he has found the road more harder this time around.

Man City have already identified Grealish’s replacement

The same source, HITC, have reported that the Premier League champions are eyeing a move for Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The 23-year-old Georgian was unstoppable during the 2022–23 season, leading Napoli to their first Serie A title since 1990.

Kvaratskhelia was rightfully recognised for his achievements when he was selected the season MVP of Serie A.

The attacker has 10 goals and six assists this season and he could be a worthy addition to Man City’s star-studded attack.
