Kotoku Royals coach Seth Ablade has blasted referee George M. Vormawor for awarding a soft penalty to Hearts of Oak in their 1-0 defeat on match week five of the Ghana Premier League.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored from the spot to give the Phobians’ the maximum points in Cape Coast as they secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

The win was the second league victory under Slavko Matic, who took over from Samuel Boadu who failed to win any of first three matches this season.

“I am disappointed because the penalty was too easy. We should have gotten something out of this game,” coach Seth Ablade said after the game.

The defeat sees Kotoku Royals drop to 16th on the league table after five matches played so far.

Kotoku Royals will travel to Kumasi to take on bottom-placed King Faisal at the Baba Yara stadium on match week six of the on-going Ghana Premier League.
