Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil scored a brilliant goal for Los Angeles Galaxy in their 3-1 loss to Inter Miami.
Paintsil’s strike came after he skillfully beat two defenders and shot from a tight angle.
Despite his impressive goal, Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez scored late goals to secure the win.
Paintsil attributed his goal to divine intervention, saying, “With my goal, I always wanted to that space… and at times with God being so good, everything went through good.”
He reflected on the game, acknowledging his team’s good performance but emphasizing the need to focus on the next match. Paintsil has now scored five goals in the MLS campaign.
“Yeah, first of all, I would just give thanks to God for everything,” Paintsil said, expressing gratitude after the game.
Despite the loss, he remains focused on the next game, saying, “Now the most important thing is focus on the Wednesday game and give everything to God in this stage.”
