The decision was solely his – Enoch Morrison blames Prosper Ogum over Kotoko exit

Gor Mahia FC midfielder Enoch Morrison has revealed that his exit from Asante Kotoko was due to former coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum’s decision.

Morrison stated that he was told by Coach Ogum via a phone call that he was no longer needed, despite playing well for the team.”I have no problem with the club, but it was the coach… The decision was solely by the coach, and maybe it is for the betterment of the team,” Morrison told Onua Sports.

“As everybody saw, it had nothing to do with my play because I was playing good.”

Morrison also shared that he was close to signing for Hearts of Oak, with then-coach Aboubakar Ouattara making several attempts to secure his services. “He [Ouattara] called me several times and made advanced talks with my manager. I even sometimes trained with the club,” Morrison revealed.

However, the deal fell through due to contractual issues, and Morrison eventually joined Gor Mahia.

Morrison’s departure from Kotoko seems to have been a coaching decision, and he has moved on to pursue opportunities elsewhere. “The decision [Coach Prosper Ogum] took is up to him because he did not explain to me why that decision,” he added.
