Assistant coach of the Black Stars, John Paintsil, has declared Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Chad a “must-win.”
Ghana will host Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium before jetting off to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24.
The Black Stars currently share the top spot in Group I with Comoros, both teams having nine points from four matches.
Ghana’s campaign has been a rollercoaster, with a win over Madagascar, a loss to Comoros, and back-to-back victories against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Speaking to Happy Sports, Paintsil stressed the significance of securing all three points.
“The Chad game is a must-win, and with the support of the fans, I know it will go well for us.
“We all know what qualifying for the World Cup will do. It will bring opportunities, open doors, and create investment platforms.”
