The Black Stars are ready for Brazil – Gideon Mensah

Black Stars defender Gideon Mensah has been speaking ahead of the team’s friendly against Brazil on Friday.

The AJ Auxerre left-back hopes to have a good result against the Selecao when they face off at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre, France.

The two sides are preparing for the 2022 Fifa World Cup and Mensah had a chat with the Ghana FA media team, highlighting the importance of the preparations.

“Playing a team like Brazil is a good test for us, going into the World Cup. This match is a good choice for Ghana and thumbs up to the GFA for giving us this opportunity.

“This game will show if we are ready or we are getting to our goals at the World Cup.”

Mensah also spoke on the team spirit and unity in camp as well as their training so far.

“The impact with everyone on the field has been satisfying so we being hungry and showing we are ready for any team is a good thing for us.

“And it has been nice with all the good work at training while we have helped the new boys settle in well too.”

Ghana plays Brazil on Friday and will then travel to Spain for the next friendly against Nicaragua.
