The Black Satellites arrived in Accra on Tuesday after their triumph in Kigali, Rwanda at the 16th Africa Youth Championships and have now set their sights on doing well at the World Youth Championships in Egypt.
Ghana has finished as runners-up to Brazil and Argentina twice already, which means the least Tetteh and his side can do in Egypt in a demanding nation is to reach the final.
He is in no doubt his side can do that, but points out the key thing will be how they get themselves ready for the showdown in Egypt.
“The preparations will be everything,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “If we get very good preparations, play very good friendly games and get ready in the manner we are supposed to, I have no doubt that this group of players can go on to do something big at the World Cup.”
Tetteh says he will keep faith with many of the players he took to Rwanda, but left a window of opportunity for those left on the fringes before the tournament.
“There were some players who were injured and could not make the trip. I will look at them again. But it’s a long time between now and the tournament.
“Some players will lose form, injuries will set, and a lot of things could happen.”
