Ghanaian tactician, Otto Addo has opened up on his decision to return to the Black Stars as head coach.
According to him, deciding to end his stay at Borussia Dortmund wasn’t easy.
“It wasn’t easy for me to make this decision, but I am very grateful and happy that those responsible at BVB made this step possible for me. It is not a given that I was able to work for the Ghanaian Football Association alongside my job in Dortmund. I appreciate very much,” Otto Addo said as quoted on the website of Dortmund.
The former Black Stars player further expressed appreciation to all the people at Borussia Dortmund.
“Borussia Dortmund will always remain something special for me – this is where I celebrated my greatest successes as a player and also experienced an incredible amount as a coach. I will definitely miss my colleagues, the boys, the club and the fans,” Coach Otto Addo said.
Coach Otto Addo’s new role as Black Stars head coach will fully begin at the end of the current football season.
However, Dortmund have agreed to release the coach to lead Ghana into the March international break for the friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
