The club acting on the results of test carried out by club doctors three weeks ago annulled the deal barely three months after they had signed and paraded the same player after a medical.
But Tagoe is adamant he is fine and says a second test carried out by doctors has proved he is well and fine. And he is insistent the incident has not affected neither his mood or his appetite for the game.
“I have been running and training since this issue happened,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “I have not allowed it to worry and I hope Ghanaians will adopt the same attitude. I feel fine and hopefully with my representatives we can see this issue through to its logical conclusion. As far as I know I am fit and good to play football.”
The Bundesliga club claim Tagoe has a heart defect but the player and his representatives are disputing that call based on test carried by doctors who had taken care of Ghanaian born German international Gerald Asamoah when he had heart related problems.
And Tagoe’s agent Goran Milovanovic has accused the club of inhuman treatment in a blistering attack. “We are truly disappointed that a club of the stature of Hoffenheim will cancel the contract of a player based on the opinion of just one doctor,” he told Ghanasoccernet. “Thankfully we sought a second diagnosis from a top heart doctor in Germany which totally contradicts what Hoffenheim said. Prince is fit, he is running and in good spirits after the second test.”
