Sudanese giants Al Hilal earn $45,000 in ticket sales from Kotoko friendly –

Al Hilal have made a whooping $45,000 from their international friendlies against Asante Kotoko.

The Sudanese giants earned the money through gate proceeds for the two legged game against the Porcupine Warriors in Omdurman.

The first game, which the Ghanaian giants lost by 2-0, fetched Al Hilal $29,400 before they made $16,000 from the second game. A game Kotoko lost 5-0.

Al Hila presented Kotoko with a plaque of recognition to celebrate their contributions to the development of football in Africa.

The friendlies is expected to strengthen the relationship between the two African heavyweights.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will return to Ghana to continue preparations for the upcoming season.

The Kumasi-based club are champions of Ghana and will represent the country in the CAF Champions League this season.

Asante Kotoko will play RC Kadiogo is the first round of the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League on September 9, in Burkina Faso.
