Striker of Sudanese National Team John Manu has expressed his team’s preparedness ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Ghana.
The encounter is slated for today (Thursday) at the Accra Sports Stadium in a third Group F fixture.
“Sudan is not a new team in this kind of competition, having once won the AFCON,” the Al-Ahli Benghazi man said.
“We have beaten Ghana before to qualify for the AFCON, so there is no pressure. We are very calm, and we are well prepared for this match.
“I am very happy to be in Ghana, and actually, my favourite player is Asamoah Gyan, and I am honoured to play in front of his family, and I am proud to play like him.”
The crucial fixture will kick off at 16:00 GMT.
The return leg encounter is scheduled for Monday, October 14 at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
Sudan sit 2nd in Group F with three points while Ghana has just a point.
